Today, we will study the words of the Academic Word List Sublist 6 , and review unit 6 . If there is any free time, please work on your portfolio or read for pleasure.

Autumn Semester 2009 - First lesson - September 28th

Hello again everyone, and welcome back.

Today, I will introduce this semester's schedule (course outline), afterwhich we will start unit 6 of the textbook. If there is time, you may start your portfolio, read for pleasure (download log here), or study for next week's AWL sublist 6 test (see sublists here).

July 13 sample test

Dear students,

I have been asked to collect your test booklets at the end of the lesson. You may not keep the sample test. I am sorry for the confusion.

July 13 lesson

July 13 is your final class. Please hand in your portfolio of 15 articles (30 points) and reading log (20 points). Your attendance will also be assessed (10 points).

The final standardized test (40 points) will take place on Thursday, July 23rd at 5 p.m. Please see the CELESE web site for details.

Today, we will have a practice test. This will take one hour. I will hand out the question papers, which you may keep. We would like to analyze the test to see how difficult each question was, so please hand in your answer sheet for statistical analysis. You will not be graded for this test.
